Sorry its been a while since I have blogged everyone :0)

I am still creating but can't share yet, I am busily getting ready for xmas, cards and presents. If I share pictures of what I am making then it may spoil the surprises that I have for my family and friends :0)

more xmas gifts

Hello everyone :0)

Well I don't know about you but at xmas time when the older children ask "can I just have money mum, I saving for something" I get stuck on how to make money exciting to open at xmas.


In the past I have put the money inside xmas cards or inside a box with a little gift, but this year I wanted to handmake something special :0)

I have made money pouches!

The material is offcuts from furniture recovering and I ran it throught the Big Shot with the xlarge scallop die (as a cardcrafter, I am trying to incorperate as much of my cardmaking stash into my sewing as possible, that way if I find something I haven't already got I can say to hubby...I really need that for my sewing Lol).

I have folded it into a little pouch and used my sewing machine to run a straight stitch all around, then with 4ply wool I highlighted with blanket stitch. They are Just waiting for large press stud fasteners to finish.

Here is what it looks like opened. The size of this closed is 4" x 4 1/2".

Now because I haven't any cards to show you this week, Alyssa has made you a special card and she wanted daddy to take a picture for the blog :0)

She says this is a card that she has drawn friends holding hands :0)

special times

No cards for you today my friends :0)
I just wanted to show you some photo's of the special mum and daughter time we had today!
Alyssa wanted her hair to look "all princessy" as she calls it.....it just means that she wants some special time with mum washing and fancying up her hair lol.

I have pinned curls and twists into her hair, looks great until the next morning when she ends up looking like a busted mattress lol

What does 38 little xmas bags look like?

THIS lol, finally finished the little backpacks for Nursery :0)

And here's a close up of one :0)

I have also finished the xmas card for Alyssa's Teachers, boy I'm on a roll lol.

I have made the front into a shaker card, but my snow drift looks a tad big :0)

I have repeated Popcorn inside, oh and the images are from "Frosty and Warm" Popcorn cdrom throught the card and the stamped sentiments are a combination from the 4 xmas stampsets.

Here is the card opened up fully. When folded the card measures 8 inch x 7 inch.

I will leave you with another photo of Alyssa, she has insisted on wearing her birthday dress for the last 3 days, do you think I will ever get her into normal clothes again? It will be a struggle lol.

She closed her eyes in the anticipation of the flash going off!

Oh well maybe I can get a better photo another day :0)

Aren't these just the cutest?

Hello everyone :0)

What do you think to my santa advent? Alas I cannot take the credit, my hubby found someone who made these on his Vauxhall Vectra Members Club that he is a member of and ordered 3 of them for xmas, 2 for our youngests and 1 for our grandson. We plan to fill the pockets with little gifts and sweets.

I think the little ones are going to have fun with these, don't you?

Popcorn the Bear......

sorry about the terrible photo, the lighting was terrible today so I tried using the flash on my camera but it seems to have made it worse!

I have used "Father's Day Popcorn" stamp set and matching papers.

The phrase on the front says "Work fascinates me, I can sit and look at it for hours!"

Its a joke in our family at the moment, my FIL collapsed 4 months ago....nothing serious just an imbalance that has since been rectified...but now he's got another 8 months before he can drive and go up ladders (he's a decorator) so for now a work collegue picks him up for work and FIL can only mix the paints and wash brushes at the end of the day.....he thinks its great, relaxing work :0)

Its is birthday soon, so I have made this for him.

This is the inside. Oh and the measurement is 7 inch x 9 inch folded.

I am so glad that you all haven't abandoned me while I have been on my sewing adventure, I do appreciate all my blogging friends :0)

look what we saw.......

Got up this morning to this balloon almost in our back garden!

It was very damp and foggy this morning and so we were surprised to find that someone had decided to go out for a balloon ride.

There is a natural flat spot in the pressure at the back of our house and we often find balloonists frantically trying to get their balloons to stop crashing here, but usually in the summertime, we never see them in the autumn/winter time.

Luckily they managed to get control again, phew!

This is a xmas page that I have made for my GS Kenzie's scrapbook, I didn't want to use all traditional xmas colours because his book is centred around cream and sage. I am not too sure if this works though, what do you think?

still here I promise....

Hello all my blogging friends :0)
I am still here, I am sorry I have no completed projects to show you yet.
Do you ever get to the point that you have so many projects that they all end up half finished? Well thats how its got me :0)
1.  I have 4 birthday cards to make for November.....I have 4 images stamped and coloured, but no finished cards.
2. I have 39 card backpacks to make for the Nursery teachers to give to the children with sweets in for xmas.......I have 39 templates cut out, 14 sheets of backing paper to decorate and only 2 assembled.
3. I am in the process of knitting hubby a new cardigan for winter........I have the back finished and half of one side.
4. I am in the process of making a quilted table runner for my friend Denise.......I have all the cloth cut to the sizes I need, I have half the image embroidered but need to fetch some more DMC cotton, oh and I need some batting. I hope to have this finished in time for an halloween party we are going to at her home on the 31st October.

I really need to give myself a kick up the backside and get these finished :0)


I hope everyone is well today, it doesn't feel so cold here today so no more huddling in front of the tv and time for me to get some work done :0)

still here!

Phew! I didn't realise how long it would take me to make 39 little backpacks for the nursery children.
I have cut out the templates needed and printed out 39 sheets of backing paper......only assembled 2 so far, so only another 37 to go lol.

I promise I will post picture of them completed as soon as I have delivered them, I don't want to spoil the surprise as I know that a few of the parents visit this blog when they want to order cards.

I just didn't want you, my treasured friends that I have made over the past couple of years, thinking that I have run off and deserted you after all the wonderful comments you have left me on a regular basis, because without you where would I and this blog be? "Down the swanie without a paddle" as my nan was fond of saying lol.

So please please be patient with me, I will soon be back and posting on a regular basis again, promise, cross my heart and stick a needle in my eye :0)
